🛂 Before you fly to Bali: checklist
Documents, All Indonesia declaration, tourist levy, insurance and packing — everything to sort out before you board.
If you order your e-VoA through Visio, we handle the arrival card and the tourist levy for you.
The rest is for people doing it themselves. Most items take only minutes.
Documents
- Passport and visa or approval: check your passport validity meets your visa's rules. Carry a printed copy and a saved digital copy of the visa.
- All Indonesia arrival declaration: complete it from 3 days before arrival at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. One form covers immigration, customs, health and quarantine. Save the QR code.
- Bali tourist levy: IDR 150,000 per foreign tourist, paid at lovebali.baliprov.go.id. Some categories, such as KITAS/KITAP holders, may be exempt — check the official FAQ for your case.
- Onward or return ticket: if your visa requires it, keep proof ready to show.
- Accommodation: save the name and address offline in case you are asked or lose signal.
Health & money
- Travel insurance: arrange cover before flying. Keep the policy number and emergency line handy.
- Medication: bring a prescription or doctor's letter, especially for controlled substances.
Phone prep
- Save screenshots, PDFs and QR codes of your documents so they open offline.
- Install Grab, Gojek and Bluebird before landing.
- Pick your connectivity before takeoff: roaming, an eSIM, or a local SIM bought on arrival.
- Save the Visio WhatsApp contact and local emergency numbers.
Packing
- Plugs are type C/F at 230V. Keep a power bank in your cabin bag, not checked luggage.
- Reef-safe sun protection, mosquito repellent, light long sleeves and a sarong for temples.
